How to reach Nieuwpoort Beach?
Nieuwpoort-Bad is located on the west coast of Belgium and is easily accessible by car, public transport, and the coastal tram (Kusttram), which runs from De Panne to Knokke-Heist. From Dune Hotel, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the beach of Nieuwpoort.
Are dogs allowed on the beach in Nieuwpoort?
In Nieuwpoort, dogs are not allowed on the beach from 15 June to 15 September. However, you can still take your dog to one of the designated dog parks in the city.
Next to the Havengeul, beside Prins Maurits Park, there is a large off-leash area of 2,500 square metres. A smaller, fenced dog park of 577 square metres can also be found in Leopold II Park. In both zones, dogs may roam freely as long as they wear a collar or harness.
Outside the summer season, from 16 September to 14 June, dogs are welcome on the beach, but must be kept on a lead.
